Henhouse tells the romantic tales of Effie and Hope Thatcher, cousins who, despite their family's bad luck in love, are determined to find it and hold onto it. Effie, who's never had a serious relationship, struggles to wield the courage to let the brooding saftey inspector, Theodore, into her heart, even though a love like Gramps and Grams's is all she's ever wanted. Meanwhile Hope's definition of family ebbs and flows as she uncovers hidden layers to the dreams she held for her life...and the ways they might be changing.
